Our guest today was always skeptical of meditation, which was spurred on by her traditional medical training. However, when she found herself suffering from burnout and hit rock bottom she felt like she had nothing to lose by giving it a shot.
It turns out this specific meditation changed her life. She has since gone on to become a meditation instructor, putting her own special spin on it, which is not at all guru-like or cultish. She uses her skills to help women in healthcare and to help with the trauma of racism and white privilege. Dr. Jill Wener is changing lives.
